Introducing Lisa Akeroyd.


Lisa is an experienced rental manager who is passionate about customer service. As the owner of Barossa Rental Specialists, her goal is to redefine the rental management experience for both investors and tenants.

Whyalla was the training ground for Lisa’s entry into real estate, where she quickly progressed from administration into property sales. Her sales success saw a move to the Barossa Valley at the age of 24 to become co-owner of Elders Real Estate located in Nuriootpa.

In addition to sales, Lisa and her team built a strong rental business over a ten-year period. She developed a reputation for her commitment to the industry, strong work ethic, attention to detail and fierce dedication to her clients.

After selling the business, a move interstate led to senior roles in national customer service and account management. A decade later, family, friends and lifestyle brought Lisa “home” to live in the Barossa. She is excited to be operating a local business specialising in rental management.

"My partner and I are investors and we have been tenants ourselves, as have 
many of our family, friends and associates and rental management has always
been spoken about with mixed feelings. It seems the ‘normal’ way of managing
a rental property just isn’t working for some investors and tenants.
After reviewing people’s experiences, I knew there was a new way forward for
rental management in the Barossa Valley. I invite investors to contact me and

Introducing Tiffany White.


Tiffany has more than ten years’ experience in the real estate industry, commencing as a Personal Assistant for an Agency Principal before moving into roles as a Sales Associate and Property Manager. Over the years her passion for property management came to the forefront.

“I love bringing a property together from meeting with potential first-time or long-time investors and guiding them through the process of listing their property, to finding the ideal tenant to call the property their home. I believe a happy tenant makes for a happy landlord and a successful relationship for all involved”, says Tiffany.

“Tiffany’s experience and work ethic makes her a welcome addition to our team” says Lisa. “She understands how important time-management and attention-to-detail is in this industry, so her skills are valued here as we continue to grow our rental business.”

Introducing Heidi Alcorn.


Heidi worked at Nuriootpa’s Barossa Community Store for five years in a variety of different roles before joining the team at Barossa Rental Specialists at the age of 21.

“Starting out in the Fresh Produce section, I learnt all the ins and outs of food preparation and food safety, and all the whacky varieties of fruit and vegetables that are out there! About a year later I was looking for something new to challenge me and got an opportunity to work in the Customer Service sector. Six months later, I was promoted to Supervisor in Customer Service. I learnt more in those three years than I had ever learnt, building my customer service and leadership skills and stress management! But also building my reputation as a strong leader in my department and in the Barossa. My final year with the Co-Op was spent in Fresh Produce with new management and a new team, and I loved every second.”

Wanting to develop her career aspirations, Heidi’s experiences as a tenant saw her sign up for a property management course.

“I met Lisa as a previous tenant of Barossa Rental Specialists and during my real estate training I am glad to say my path collided with Lisa once more! I am eager to grow and learn through my career as a Rental Manager with BRS. One of the most important lessons I have learnt throughout both my personal and work life is that you always have a choice. You have the choice to make your life exactly the way you want it! I am so excited that I made the choice to be here with Lisa and her team.” 


Introducing Simone Askew.


Simone has a passion for providing excellent customer service, learnt from her previous long-term role in hospitality and high-end luxury accommodation. She is a great communicator and prides herself on handling  a crisis “calmly and with poise”. Her positive attitude is an ideal fit for the BRS team.

Since joining BRS Simone has settled into her new environment well and has enjoyed meeting clients and understanding the scope of Rental Management.

Introducing Nick Anderson.


Nick Anderson has been a business support since the inception of Barossa Rental Specialists (BRS) and now joins the team in the capacity of Asset Maintenance Manager.

Most rental managers will respond to maintenance jobs, however, day to day issues which arise may delay the maintenance being actioned. A rental property is one of the major assets for an investor and BRS knows significant cost savings and downtime is saved when maintenance is dealt with correctly and in a timely manner. BRS is proactive in recommending solutions before they become major problems and expenses.

Nick has the experience to expertly coordinate all repairs and building works by liaising with trusted local tradespeople and contractors. Nick’s background in procurement, project management and high-end business strategies allows BRS to offer an unparalleled service to our partners.

As a landlord myself I know how things can escalate without due attention” says Nick. “We’re here to assist you and save you from stressing. We are a landlord’s eyes and ears.”


Introducing Tamara Taylor.

Tamara grew up in the Adelaide Hills and started her career in Real Estate after finishing high school. She worked her way from the front desk to co-managing a large commercial rental trust. She then spent several years in Melbourne working with a variety of large and small agencies through a diverse role in an out-sourcing firm. Her experience covers the large and small of accounting for property, from large shopping centres and luxury residential homes to small apartments. She always prioritises the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting. Her commitment and precision makes her a valuable asset to our team.
